The young Ukrainian star of the Top Five team had an amazing week at the 100K ITF tournament in France. Zavatska started her campaign in Cagnes-Sur-Mer in qualification and successfully reached the main draw of the 100K ITF event for the second time in her career.
In the opening round 17-year-old Katarina clinched her maiden victory over the WTA top-100 player Yanina Wickmayer, currently ranked No.74. Zavatska also defeated Maryna Zanevska and Alize Lim en route to the first 100K-level semi-final in her career.
In her last 18 matches at the ITF tournaments (Santa Margherita Di Pula, Chiasso, Cagnes-Sur-Mer) the Ukrainian won 16 times.
As a result of her successful performance Katarina will enter the top-300 in the WTA rankings.
