The Top Five team’ member makes history

Tunisian Ons Jabeur achieved an incredible record after beating No. 6 seed Dominika Cibulkova, 6-4 6-3, in the second round of Roland Garros.

The 2011 French Open juniors champion becomes the first Arab woman to reach the third round at the Grand Slam. It’s been also the first top-10 win for Jabeur who had played against the top-10 player just once. Ons is closer now to another personal record – breaking into the top-100 in the WTA rankings for the first time.

The 22-year-old Tunisian is also the first lucky loser who reached the third round of Roland Garros since 1996. Ons Jabeur will face No. 30 seed Timea Bacsinszky in her next match in Paris.
