Three players represented by Top Five managed to reach the finals of WTA tournaments which are taking place this week.
Elina Svitolina and Aliaksandra Sasnovich, both representing the Top Five agency, advanced to the final of the major tournament of the week in Brisbane.
Last year Elina Svitolina won the biggest amount of WTA titles among all the players and ended the season being World No. 6. This week is also tremendous for her and is marked with two victories over the top-10 players: Johanna Konta (No. 9) and Karolina Pliskova (No. 5). This Monday she will reach the fourth position in the new WTA ranking and will be the fourth seed at the Australian Open.
As for Aliaksandra Sasnovich, this tournament has been the best in her career so far as she managed to make her debut in the final of a Premier tournament. The road to final took seven matches as Aliaksandra began the tournament in the qualification. Aliaksandra began the week as World No. 88 but she will definitely crack the top-55 of the ranking this Monday. Moreover, the new position will be her personal best result.
Another representative of the Top Five agency who reached the final is Katerina Siniakova. The Czech is defending her title in Shenzhen, China. Katerina has already beaten Maria Sharapova and her final opponent is Simona Halep, World No. 1. Furthermore, Katerina has also reached the doubles final where she will also play against Halep.
