Victory on the WTA tour for Top Five Management talent Ons Jabeur! The third final of her career was the good one: at Birmingham, the Tunisian star notched her first WTA singles title defeating Daria Kasatkina in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.
No. 2 seed at the Viking Classic, Ons had previously played two singles finals: in Moscow (2018), and earlier this season at the MUSC Health Women’s Open in Charleston.
Today, Ons entered the winner’s circle with an hour-and-a-half victory over Kasatkina to make history, becoming the first Arab woman to claim a WTA singles title.
What a season for Ons. She is the most winning player on tour in 2021 – 28 wins – alongside the world #1 Ashleigh Barty.
Birmingham is just the first of many.
Bravo Ons! The entire team is proud of you!
